"Kayu cafe is a must when coming to gili t, or any of the islands, it’s got reasonable prices unlike any of the other overpriced cafes, amazing customer service and stunning food with good portion sizes. Great coffee, the best baked and cakes there. I went twice whilst being on the island wishing I had time to for a third and both times got served by lovely astrid. She’s always smiling and always greets you in the nicest most welcoming way, and is a part of why my visits to the cafe where both so so good. The caramel and ginger cheesecake is the best by far."

"Updates: I went back the second day and Aldy gave me a unicorn as promised! So cool! He made the lady at the next table a koala/lion. He is very talented! Well air-conditioned. Very nice staff. I came in for a late afternoon coffee and got a rabbit latte art! Pleasant surprise. Not too crowded. Perfect for relaxing after biking around the island."

"Probably my favourite spot in Gili T! We got breakfast after arriving to the island - they have a separate vegan menu so you get a lot of options. I had the avocado toast with extra tofu scramble and it was amazing. Came back for lunch, the jackfruit wrap was super flavourful and we finally got some good fries!"

"The best cafe on Gili T! The food is truly delicious, which is rare here. The portions are large and beautifully presented. There are lots of healthy options, and the macros are well balanced in terms of protein, fats, and carbs. I loved the flexibility and ordered the amazing Breakfast pan, swapping pork for chicken. The brown rice bowl with chicken was great too. I came here several times and only regret discovering this place at the end of my trip. Huge thanks to the lovely Irma!"

"I don’t think this is a hotel but if it is, I only ever had breakfast here which I came back to each morning for my 3 night stay! The menu is fairly large so I loved all the options especially in comparison to the surrounding cafes near there. Menu options felt similar to Melbourne Australia where I am from, so loved it :) Service was good too besides the last morning I had breakfast there - I was upstairs and noone came back up to check on me after my breakfast was served (I wanted to order a takeaway coffee and pay so had to just go down to do that). Would still go back :)"
